I want to talk about the moon. And music. And Moomins.
I love this first full moon of the year. It appears in the sky tonight, during this first week of January. A moon that marks the close of the moon’s cycle, so is both an ending and a journey towards a beginning. To me, it offers something alternative to making new year resolutions and trying to be a brand new person. Something gentler.
The bright full moon invites us to pause. To look up and notice how we feel, what around us and inside us is illuminated, what feels good in our lives, if we feel curious and, if so, what about and why.
